Malcolm excels in team building. He listens to clients and assists them in articulating their dream. Then, he manages the company’s resources to make that dream a beautiful reality. In addition, Malcolm is skilled at creating cooperative and productive working relationships among clients, architects, MKB employees, and subcontractors. Due to his many years of experience, Malcolm can negotiate projects effectively. He maintains a “big picture” perspective for his team and finishes projects on time and within budget.
Malcolm began his building career at an early age in his native North Carolina. Throughout high school and college, he worked in various trades on construction projects. He also worked with his grandfather, who was a field engineer for a national company.
Malcolm went on to graduate from the University of North Carolina in Asheville with a major in economics and a minor in psychology. He holds a General Contractor’s License in the states of North and South Carolina.
When he’s not in the office or on the lot, Malcolm can often be found on the course. Golf has always been a passion for Malcolm. He’s played since high school and took it the next level in college. In 2004, Malcolm was given the opportunity to be an official PGA caddie for his good friend and PGA player Tommy Tolles. As Malcolm put it, “It was a once in a lifetime experience!”
