This custom home, aptly named “Urban Tranquility” was designed by architect, Andrew A. Willet and was inspired by Pasadena Arts & Crafts. The home features Doug Fir timbers, Sapele cabinetry and interior trim, and a wonderful interplay of river rock both inside and outside. “Urban Tranquility” resides on a lot that is relatively narrow and bends at the center. The architect took this as an opportunity to not only keep the house thin, but bend the house as the land does with a screened porch dog-trot at its hub. The house’s low expansive presence hugs the land and maintains a thin overall feel to maximize light in and through the home. Located in the luxurious, private mountain community of The Ramble, this Morgan-Keefe home pairs the beauty of the Blue Ridge mountains with the proximity of Asheville conveniences. The Ramble is known for providing an active and welcoming environment, complete with a wellness center, parks and trails, and community activities. Rich wood details and natural finishes make this custom luxury home by Morgan-Keefe truly artful living.
