Modern Farmhouse is a blend of comfort and style. The home sits at the top of a gently sloped hill, confident, yet welcoming. At the top of the curved drive is a charming garage with a would-be bay positioned as a patio, offering both a spot to relax, and prep space to support the owner's love of gardening. Around back, stepping stones lead across a large pond with plantings lovingly transplanted from a family home. Platt (architect and interiors) incorporated reclaimed hemlock in the ceilings, pergolas, and columns, threading their signature feature throughout, while subtly and artfully tying the interior with the exterior. Inside, large windows and skylights usher in light, adding to the character and comfort of the home. A sun room with a natural bluestone paver floor further draws the outdoors in. White walls take a step back, allowing the colorful furnishings and art to shine.
