Morgan-Keefe Builders is excited to announce its participation in the 2023 Western NC Parade of Homes! Morgan-Keefe’s Modern Mountain Update and Walnut Cove Contemporary Remodel will be featured in the Renewed Spaces category. While MKB is more than 40 years old, the company is proud to promote its newer Renovation department, started in 2018. The public will be able to virtually tour these homes (these two homes are not open for in-person tours).
The Western North Carolina Parade of Homes is an opportunity for local builders to showcase their custom new builds, renovations, and new communities. The Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains (formerly Asheville Home Builders Association) hosts this event. The public is invited to tour selected homes in person and virtually, online.
October 7, 2023 marks the kickoff to the 2023 Parade. During the weekends of October 7-8 and October 14-15, participating builders’ homes will be open for in-person tours. However, virtual tours will be open year-round! Click here to learn more about taking a virtual tour.
Modern Mountain Update is a full-home remodel, touching every room in this two-level townhouse. This includes a full kitchen renovation, five bathroom renovations (including the complete addition of a new bathroom), removal of interior walls and one fireplace, addition of a patio door, and new flooring and paint throughout. Walnut Cove Contemporary Remodel is a complete main-floor renovation, with new features on the rear exterior. Morgan-Keefe transformed the screened porch into usable interior space and converted a stone patio into a deck covered by a striking timber-framed porch roof (by Timberframe Horizons). MKB added a new stone patio to the opposite side of the former screened porch, and fully renovated the kitchen and primary bath. Additionally, they combined three rooms into one large butler’s pantry with laundry (all cabinetry by Greg Paolini Designs). To modernize the entire space Morgan-Keefe squared-off entryways, updated the stone fireplace veneers, and added a fresh coat of paint and new flooring throughout.
