Malcolm excels in teambuilding. He enjoys listening to clients, assisting them in articulating their dream, and managing the company’s resources to make that dream a beautiful reality. In addition, he is skilled at creating cooperative and productive working relationships between clients, architects, his employees and subcontractors. Malcolm’s many years of experience enable him to negotiate projects effectively, maintain a “big picture” perspective for his team, and finish projects on time and within budget.
Malcolm began his building career at an early age in his native North Carolina. He worked in various trades on construction projects throughout high school and college. He also worked with his grandfather who was a field engineer for a national company. Malcolm went on to graduate from the University of North Carolina in Asheville with a major in economics and a minor in psychology. He holds a General Contractor’s License in the states of North and South Carolina.
When he’s not in the office or on the lot, he can often be found on the course. Golf has always been a passion for Malcolm. He’s played since high school and took it the next level in college. In 2004, Malcolm was given the opportunity to be an official PGA caddie for his good friend and PGA player Tommy Tolles. And as Malcolm puts it: “It was a once in a lifetime experience!”
